First things first...

Well, I guess it's time to try this blog thingy. I can't guarantee that it will always be current or interesting but I'll try my best. I know, I know, my favorite fictional mentor says, "Do or do not, there is no try." So it might end up being more do not than do, if that makes any sense.

First of all, I won't really bore you with my family history as most of you who visit this site will already know alot about me and for those of you who don't, well, it gives you a reason to either email me or contact me in some other way to find out more. I'll just start with the more important factors of my family life.

First and foremost, I am married to the most wonderful woman in the world. Her name is Dana and for those of you who are already bored with my blog should check hers out at this address: http://www.mommyandlovinit.blogspot.com/

Why do I say that she is the most wonderful woman in the world? Because it's true, of course. Who else but the most wonderful would put up with me? She just let me go play RPGs for 14 hours straight. She also manages our household with unparalleled skill, raises our 3 kids superbly, and patiently tolerates the biggest kid we know, namely me.

Our 3 kids are the greatest. I know that I don't tell them that as often as I should but I hope that they know it. Jordan is six and will start 1st Grade in the fall and can't wait to get there. He loves Soccer, Monster Trucks, Hot Wheels, just about any car actually, and is very protective of his sisters and mother. I don't think I've ever seen a six year old as perceptive of other peoples feelings. He takes care of Dana and his sisters whenever I can't be at home.

Tara has one of the most vibrant personalities that I've seen. Rarely is she afraid to go to someone new and wrap them around her little finger. I will be fighting boys off with bats and other heavy objects as she gets older.

Paige is only 1, yet she has no difficulty letting you know what she wants. She also has the uncanny knack of making even the most child-intolerant person quickly jump at the chance to hold her and love her.

Most of this information you can find in more complete detail at Dana's site that I referenced above.

The most recent thing that I've done lately to have an enormous impact on my life is to attend Wood Badge. For those of you who don't know what that is, it's an extremely intense Leadership Training Course aimed as Boy Scout Leaders, although anyone who would like to become a better leader by improving themselves is strongly encouraged to attend. The lessons, experiences and friendships that I gained there will go with me throughout the eternities. I do not possess the words to describe the impact that it has made on me. I have discovered things deep within myself that I did not know were there and having been made aware of them can now begin to develop them so that I can be the type of person that I have always admired. Those types being the George Washingtons, Thomas Jeffersons, Robert Baden-Powells, and Winston Churchills of the world. What a great influence all of us have on the people that we come in contact with.

My advice to who ever is unfortunate to read this is to live each day to its fullest potential.
